Primed: Asheville Art Museum

Lots of new white space for the Asheville Art Museum's new face.  The AAM hosted a "white tie" gala opening for their interim exhibition, Primed, on March 23.  The evening included the City of Asheville's Easel Rider Mobile Art Lab out front and inside doing magnetic LED light throw projects (fun!), body painted models and living statuary (also fun!) a "light grafitti" room, live painting with Makasi Siriwayo, music, and dancing (fun, fun, fun).  The expanded showcase areas feature new exhibits from Gabriel Schaffer, Hoss Haley, Fire on the Mountain glass blowers, as well as a colorful new Children's Art Playce and new exhibits from the museum's permanent collection (all amazing).
