Week 6: Closed for Moving

Finally things are starting to kind of maybe feel normal again! I've spent the last two weeks pushing myself in every direction possible and all at the same time.  Clearly I'm going to need to do some more yoga if I think I'm going to be able to keep this up.

We closed on our new house on February 15th and started moving in right away, we got a lot accomplished in 5 or 6 hours that day.  One problem though, we've had zero time off to get anything accomplished since then.  Cass and I have both had full time work schedules for two weeks straight and we've both been trying to pick up as many after work loads to deliver to the house, basement and garage as we can while trying to be good parents and provide regular meals and a sense of stability for the kids.  So this was really the first weekend to set our shoulders to the task of getting settled in in earnest.  We're getting there but we've still got a ways to go.  We just got the computer set up and back online again last night.  So look for more normalized responses and a new article about the latest Blind Pig supper later in the week to make up for all the stuff I'm doing elsewhere at the minute.

In the meantime here's an old radiant I made out of the stairs at the Jolie Rouge before we started painting it in 2009.  I stumbled over this one while I was getting the computer in order.  It was a sharp reminder of how far we've come and all that we've accomplished as a family since we first arrived with a moving van in Asheville 3 years ago.

One thing stays the same though. . . moving sucks.
