Last Days of Summer

PERSEPHONE:
Winter’s nigh and summer’s o’er
I hear that high and lonesome sound
Of my husband coming for
To bring me home to Hadestown
Way down Hadestown
Way down under the ground.
-Anais Mitchel, From: Hadestown

The girls and I  spent all summer enjoying and analyzing the folk opera Hadestown. The story of Orpheus and Eurydice revisited and reinterpreted by Anais Mitchel.  We sing portions of it, at random, for our own amusement and recommend you give it a listen. Excellent music!
