Kayaking Lessons

Out for a lesson, this student instructor pair were practicing Eskimo rolls at Ledges a week ago.  Not the first time I've seen these two practicing together so I was keen to see how she was progressing.  Quite well it turns out.  I don't know her name but she was so nice to smile for me and so brave practicing rolls with the instructor in the lagoon at the Ledges.  It goes from sandy and deep to shallow and sharp very fast there.  If you're interested in testing your own inner and outer limits perhaps this is the sport for you.  If it is, check out Asheville Kayaking, they seem to know what they're doing and they offer a big discount if you already own your own gear.  Me? Oh, I'm sticking to inner tubes or canoes and swimming home if I have to, but it does look like some sporty fun.
