Hosted by Tiffany Narron and Daniele Martin of the JB Media Group, the event was an opportunity for local, female, small business owners to come together to meet, network, teach, heal, laugh, cry, share and become our own special community. It integrated women from across the spectrum of careers, age, experience and interests with the common goal of uniting and in some cases learning to "complaborate" (that's when a group of similar competing businesses band together to collaborate on common needs and therefore strengthen the entire community, i.e. a restaurant association).
Many of our rock star local business ladies shared there amazing stories about the obstacles, struggles, learning and teaching moments that had carried them to where they are now. There were several spiritual and physical healers at the conference as well to remind us how important it is to find balance in all aspects of our lives so that we can better take care of ourselves, our families and our businesses.
The superlatives flowed as the weekend waned, everyone who came reported variations of revelation and connection to take with them into the week. New friendships, connections and inspiration were the best reward for attendance. The core lesson pulsed throughout the weekend like a mantra, You are not alone, Ask Questions, Make Connections, Trust Yourself. Hopefully, there will be more of these events throughout the year as we all bond and continue to grow this amazing community.
