West Asheville Tailgate Market

Proud of my girls today, they really are related to me. (As if birthing them weren't enough proof.)  We were driving through West Asheville this afternoon when the kids saw the WAVL Tailgate Market up at the parking lot next to Grace Church and acted like there was a small circus in town. 'Mama, that looks like a farmer's market! Can we stop? I've got money. . . " That's because they are smart girls who know that there is always a wonderful muffin, or ice cream or chocolate or carnivorous plant or something waiting inside one of these kinds of places. I wonder where they get that from?

Gotta love this middle of the week fresh food opportunity to restock the kitchen with local produce.  They were also setting up for the Full Moon Market Supper Club so while the kids shopped for dessert yummies, I got to stop in and say hi to a few friends and find out the good news.  You may have heard Monday evening that GQC's food truck had two generators stolen from the truck over the weekend but the cops found it stashed in an abandoned house today and were able to recover it. Yay Susie!!!!
