CLicK's New Look from the Rhetorical Factory

Sometimes I get a good idea.  I mean a REALLY good idea!  A few months ago I realized I needed to get some new "work" shirts for CLicKs for the summer months.  Something that says who I am and what I do before I can even point the camera at you.  But I hated the idea of buying embroidered golf shirts and the like.  I've done my time in that kind of "casual" work clothes and it's something I'm not going back to.  I wanted my new outfits to be green minded and totally local.

Then I thought of my friend Bethany Adams of Rhetorical Factory!  She's a local Asheville clothing designer who does hand printed patterns on vintage and up-cycled clothes.   We got together at her studio in Riverview Station to talk design.  On a whim I brought along my first "real" camera from high school, my Pentax K1000, the original student manual camera.  She liked the look of the camera and took on my humble project.

And the results are fantastic!  These are my new favorite clothes!!  I had her print 3 on my favorite old T shirts and she up-cycled 3 more tank tops for me as well.  The fact the image on the front is my first camera has such tremendous sentimental value to me.  Putting my logo on the back between the shoulder blades make's me more easily identifiable at events to current as well as future clients.

Bethany is excited because "the Camera" print is now a new part of her line, and she told me she's had great response to it so far. To me, this is the best part of working and dealing locally. You can check out more of Bethany's cool vintage style prints for sale on her Etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/RhetoricalFactory or locally at the Circle.
