Roadside Attraction: Goats on the Roof

Had the pleasure of working in North Georgia today.  On the way to the site we had to turn at Goats on the Roof.  I am neither crazy or kidding, but as a Roadside Attraction fan, I found it completely irresistible!  Folks, this place is more than a kitchy petting zoo, which it is, they've got a beautiful country store put together, really friendly folks working the counters, as well as a gem mining area, did I forget to mention the goat trails?  The goats have several suspension bridges, about 15 ft up  and criss-crossing the entire area, which they trot over, Billy Goats Gruff style whenever they sense the opportunity for food.  Very fun for the kids to pretend to be the troll for a minute.

So if you're heading to Atlanta from Asheville or the other way around, you've decided to take the scenic route, and you feel the need to stretch your legs and let the kids run around, here's the spot to do it.  You may shake your head but you'll be smiling.
