Historic Johnson Farm
Just wrapped up 2 weeks of photographing Henderson County Seniors. It was great to get out and work with the kids and parents. The location was the Historic Johnson Farm, a 19th century tobacco farm and later in the 20's a boarding house for vacationers, just outside of Hendersonville. It was donated to the County as an educational and historic site when the last two bachelor brothers had passed away. Ingrid runs the tours and the site and is a wealth of information as well as being a wonderful person to meet. The house and farm are an interesting tour and they have many special interpretive events throughout the year. Here is the farm house and kitchen, complete with dinner bell on the roof.
